How we got here

Nearly Two Decades, One Standard

Sciarrino's opened in the early 2000s with a simple idea: make boardwalk style pizza the right way and serve it to our Wilmington neighbors. Almost two decades later, we're still here doing the same thing — and the people in our kitchen are mostly the same ones who've been here for over a decade.

That consistency is the whole story. When you order a cheese pizza from us today, it tastes like the cheese pizza you ordered five years ago — because the person tossing the dough is the same person who's been tossing it since you started ordering. We don't churn through staff. We don't change recipes. We don't cut corners.

What "Boardwalk Style" Means

Boardwalk style is a hand-tossed, thinner-crust pizza with a slightly crisp bottom and a generous edge — the kind you'd grab on the Jersey or Delaware shore. Our dough is fresh, our sauce is family recipe, our cheese is real. Nothing frozen, nothing pre-made. Every pie gets stretched, sauced, and topped right when you order it.

Made From Scratch, Every Day

Our roast beef gets seasoned and slow-cooked here, in our own oven, on a bed of fresh onions and carrots. Our meatballs are hand-rolled. Our hoagie meats are sliced to order on the deli slicer. It takes longer than the alternative — and that's the point.

Why We Went Online-Only

A couple of years ago we made a big call: we stopped taking phone orders. By that point, 78% of our orders were already coming in online, and the constant phone interruptions were pulling our team away from what they're best at — making food. Going fully digital let us focus on the kitchen, raise our quality bar, and finally give customers a system that shows true prices and customizations.

Open Almost Every Day

We're open 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM, almost every day of the year. We close only on four holidays so our team can be home with their families: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and the 4th of July.
